This is me making lemonade - why I blog
Welcome to Ardent Change, I’m Aruna, and I have finally found my voice. Please keep reading if interested in the person writing all these blogs. I have always seen life hard. I was told to get up and keep going every time I was knocked down. Violence or, on the other hand, internalising everything, ignoring or looking away when experiencing racism or sexism is not the solution. Finding a way to deal with the problem is hard, especially when you are shy or lack confidence. But when life gives you lemons.....
'You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.'

9 minutes 29 seconds changed my life - George Floyd changed the world
Just before the pandemic and the year that George Floyd happened, my family experienced hate crimes. I just gave up, depression and illness followed. Then the pandemic occurred, and the #metoo and #blacklivesmatter movement forced change. However, ethics don’t seem to matter anymore, lies are forgiven easily, and second chances turn into third, fourth and fifth chances. To me, a politician is a liar now.
It makes you feel powerless, and angry. Why do people forget to treat others the way they want to be treated? I worry about my children and their children. After all, they are the future. They need a world where kindness, empathy and encouragement are the foundation of their life.
Looking through the lenses of equality, diversity and inclusion, I have tried to put things in perspective. My blogs are my simple way of sharing my newly found insights. If you want to let me know what you think, please connect.
Please note that all the views shared in my blogs are my own. I am looking forward to starting a conversation.
